Westzone Crew Management Service:

We are providing the high quality of skilled seafarers, which the Marine industry requires and expects. We have the best vessels and excellent career prospects for you. We are providing crew for the Main fleet, Offshore, Tanker, Crew Boat, TUG vessel.

Minimum Requirements for ratings for our vessels:

• Must be in possession of valid Indian CDC, Passport, & PAN CARD
• Must be in possession of INDOS No
• Must have completed GP Rating course (for the new seamen as per DGS rule) with four basic modular courses required for Seamen from DG-approved institutes. All ratings should be in possession of the following four mandatory Certificates:

(i) Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting

(ii) Personal survival Techniques

(iii) Elementary First Aid

(iv) Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities.

• Must have completed Oil Tanker Familiarisation course from DG-approved institutes & should be in possession of certificates/DG endorsements as per DG rules.
• Must have completed specialised vessel familiarisation course from DG-approved institutes & should be in possession of certificates/DG endorsements as per DG rules for the vessels type for which vacancies exist.
• Must have at least six months of onboard experience.
• Must be reported well from his previous vessels/ owners. Must have served on board vessels for at least six months in the last three years.
• Must be medically fit for sea service as per present medical rules.
• Must have at least six months of board rank experience.
• Must have at least one year of service balance on the day of selection & must have all documents valid for at least one year from the day of selection.
• Must be in possession of all required valid certificates for the rank.

Selection Procedure:

• On selection day at a given time, all applicants for general roster rating muster/gather in our selection hall.
• Designated officers from the crew section of SCI are present in the crew selection hall for select crews as per requirements.
• When ranked experienced persons are not available then the best suitable candidates are selected.
• A person who is unemployed for a maximum number of periods is given the first chance of employment in the rank, provided he meets the requirement of Minimum requirements for the rank, type of vessels, & other conditions.
• After selection, all documents are verified and if found ok then the seaman is sent for medical examination. After medical examination, if medically fit ratings are allotted vessels and subsequently posted on vessels subject to completion of formalities (i.e. visa, verification of documents, port formalities etc).

Safety Training to Seafarers as per client’s requirements.

Westzone Ship Management LLC. Safety Training:

Our course module is based on the marine industry-approved guidelines. These courses are intended to meet the minimum standards of proficiency in personal safety and social responsibilities, and personal survival techniques. The course also incorporates Helicopter Safety and Escape Training (HUET) course. A certificate of successful completion shall be issued to those participants who successfully complete the course and meet the assessment criteria.

Training:

1) H2S Safety Training: -The goal of the Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) course is to learn how to recognize when Hydrogen Sulfide is present in your work area and to describe the precautions necessary to work with Hydrogen Sulfide safely.

Course Content:

• Danger and safe handling of Hydrogen Sulphide (h2s) Gas.
• Tests and maintenance were carried out on the Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (S.C.B.A Sets).
• Precautions while entering enclosed spaces.
• Procedure to detect the presence of hydrogen sulphide gas in a compartment, M.S data sheet, dragger toxic gas indicator. Dragger gas tubes and H2s detector maintenance.
• Introduction to fire prevention & firefighting procedures.
• Hazards identification & contingency planning.

2) Fast Rescue Craft (FRC) Course: -FRC is for emergency response and rescue vessel crew and is designed to meet fast rescue craft boatman training and development requirements. Fast Rescue Craft course will progress you’re training and development through theory and practical elements. You’ll cover aspects of handling the craft, casualty recovery and effective use of communications equipment.

Course Content:

• Features of fast rescue boats.
• Equipment to be carried in fast rescue craft.
• Launching & hoisting of fast rescue craft.
• Handling fast boats.
• Maintenance of boats and their equipping.
• Righting an overturned craft.

3) HUET: -This course in Undertake Helicopter Safety and Escape (HUET) teaches the skills and theory required to improve an individual’s chance of surviving a helicopter ditching in water. The course provides a basic working knowledge of emergency procedures in self-rescue techniques following a helicopter ditching and using an emergency breathing system.
